Sporting Success for Past Pupils

on April 7, 2022

St. Patrick’s week brought great success for some of our past pupils.

On a sunny Lá Fhéile Pádraig in Croke Park; Colm Dalton, Seán McDonnell and Stephen Kelly took to the field with Naas CBS as they looked to win their first Hogan Cup. The Hogan Cup is the All Ireland Competition for Secondary Schools’ Boys Senior football teams.

Naas CBS beat St. Brendan’s of Killarney in a brilliantly competitive and skillful game of football.

All of us here in Sallins NS, would like to congratulate the boys on their wonderful achievement of securing an All-Ireland medal!

Just a few days later on Sunday 20th March, the Ireland Under 20’s Rugby team took on Scotland in Musgrave Park. Their convincing win secured them a Grand Slam win for their Six Nations Championship.

Past pupil, Diarmuid Mangan is part of the team and we would like to congratulate him on the great achievement of representing his country and on a brilliant Championship win!

We are delighted that, like many of our past pupils, they have continued to develop their skills in sport and most importantly, that they continue to keep active and enjoy their games.

Comhgairdeachas daoibh, Diarmuid, Stephen, Seán agus Colm!!
