Sallins National School

On the 28^th of May 2024, boys and girls from 4^th, 5^thand 6^th class competed in the Celbridge AC annual athletics competition.

 

We competed in numerous events, including turbo javelin, shot putt, 60m sprints, 80m sprints, 100m sprints, long jump, 500m, 600m, 800m middle distance and relays.

 

4^th class girls, 5^th boys and the 6^th class boys all came in 1^st in the relay and we won lots of medals in the individual events also. In total, our school won an outstanding 25 medals across the 3 class groups, the highest medal count of all schools competing on the day.

All the students did very well in Celbridge and we really enjoyed the day.

 

We would like to thank our teachers and coaches Ms. Stapleton, Ms. Shortall and Derek McConnon for all their support.
