Banana Bread Bake Off

Chocolate Chip Banana Cake

Last week, we made delicious chocolate chip banana bread squares with Ms. Reidy.

This is the recipe we followed to make them:

  1. First, we got 2 bananas and mashed them using our strong muscles!
  2. Next, we mixed the sugar, bananas, oil and eggs in a mixing bowl. (125g sugar, 4 tbsp of oil & 2 eggs.)
  3. We then added the flour and cinnamon and stirred until the mixture was smooth (225g of self raising flour & a pinch of cinnamon.)
  4. Pour evenly into the foil tin. Bake it for 25-30 mins. (In the oven.)

This is how we made the icing for them! (Optional)

  1. We beat 75g of cream cheese with a fork or a blender, with 1 tbsp of vanilla essence and 75g of butter together.
  2. We gradually added the icing sugar until the mixture was smooth.
  3. Once our banana breads were ready we spread the icing onto each and added banana slices and chocolate chips.

This delicious snack will be all yours if you make a trip to a supermarket to buy the ingredients.

We hope you enjoy our tasty treats.
