Chocolate Chip Banana Cake
Last week, we made delicious chocolate chip banana bread squares with Ms. Reidy.
This is the recipe we followed to make them:
- First, we got 2 bananas and mashed them using our strong muscles!
- Next, we mixed the sugar, bananas, oil and eggs in a mixing bowl. (125g sugar, 4 tbsp of oil & 2 eggs.)
- We then added the flour and cinnamon and stirred until the mixture was smooth (225g of self raising flour & a pinch of cinnamon.)
- Pour evenly into the foil tin. Bake it for 25-30 mins. (In the oven.)
This is how we made the icing for them! (Optional)
- We beat 75g of cream cheese with a fork or a blender, with 1 tbsp of vanilla essence and 75g of butter together.
- We gradually added the icing sugar until the mixture was smooth.
- Once our banana breads were ready we spread the icing onto each and added banana slices and chocolate chips.
This delicious snack will be all yours if you make a trip to a supermarket to buy the ingredients.
